Add The California Post on Google The new Nike Kobe Protro shoes will feature seven colorways, according to Vanessa Bryant.
The wife of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant posted seven new versions of the retro Nike basketball shoes to her Instagram stories, including one inspired by the couple’s love for Disney.
The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Polka Dot” pack is inspired by Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the global mascots of the Walt Disney company.
Vanessa has previously said of her late husband: “Kobe will always be the Mickey to my Minnie.”
While there is no release information on the shoe yet, Vanessa posted pictures of the shoe in two versions, polka dot white and polka dot red.
The Nike Kobe Protros will also feature a version called Bellísima, which means extremely beautiful in Italian. It includes a pink floral pattern instead of the typically snakeskin of the Nike Kobe 6.
Additional colorways include the Nike Kobe 9 EM Low Protro “California Mountain Snake,” Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro “Dusty Pink,” Nike Kobe 9 Elite High Protro “Iron Man,” and Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Eagles.”
Bryant was a famous fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and he design pays homage to his favorite NFL team. However, there is no release information on the new shoe yet.
Since Vanessa and the Kobe Bryant estate reached a new partnership with Nike in March 2022, the 44-year-old has showcased upcoming releases on social media.
