Add The New York Post on Google A teen creep allegedly sexually abused a woman who was riding a Manhattan train with two kids last week – and then muttered “my bad,” according to cops and law enforcement sources.
Ari Shtein, 18, stood behind the 30-year-old victim on board an uptown R train approaching 28th Street in Chelsea around 3 p.m. June 28 when he allegedly reached into her underwear and penetrated her with his fingers, authorities and law enforcement sources said.
“My bad, didn’t know you were going to react that way,” Shtein, who hails from Washington D.C. and does not know the victim, allegedly told her after the disturbing act, according to the sources.
The victim, who sources say was traveling with two kids under 17, was taken to a local hospital for observation, cops said. It was not immediately clear whether the kids are her biological children.
Shtein initially fled the scene, but surrendered to cops Wednesday morning, police said.
He was charged with aggravated sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, cops said.
Shtein, who cops say has no previous arrests in the Big Apple, was awaiting arraignment Wednesday afternoon.
