Add Page Six on Google When Taylor Swift married Travis Kelce wearing a Christian Dior Haute Couture wedding dress, she made history as creative director Jonathan Anderson‘s first celebrity bride.
As a representative for Swift shared, the pop icon and the sports star said “I do” at Madison Square Garden in custom Dior looks by Anderson, which were created “in close collaboration” with the couple.
And in choosing the storied French fashion house for her walk down the aisle, Swift joins an impressive list of Hollywood, music and fashion legends ranging from Rita Hayworth to Gwen Stefani. Below, a look back at the famous Dior brides that came before her.

With its long lace sleeves, full skirt and cathedral-length veil, Kloss’ look drew comparisons to Grace Kelly’s bridal gown. It reportedly took over 700 hours to make, and the catwalker said the first time she saw the finished design, it brought her to tears.
Speaking of Kelly, the “Rear Window” actress’ eldest daughter married Philippe Junot in a long-sleeved, floral-embroidered gown with a tiered skirt. It was designed by Marc Bohan, a close friend of the bride’s who oversaw Dior from 1960 to 1989 – a nearly 30-year tenure.
The No Doubt rocker’s pink-dipped ombré dress for her wedding to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale was the work of John Galliano, who led Dior from 1997 to 2011.
“When I got engaged, I said I wanted [my dress] to be over the top, but not traditional — I wanted it to be everything,” Stefani said at the time.
A spray-painted gown with an asymmetrical cut definitely fit the bill. It now resides at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London because, per the institution, Stefani considered it “a work of art [which] needed to be seen.”
Two years after meeting Pierre Galante at the Cannes Film Festival, the “Gone With the Wind” beauty wed the French author and journalist wearing a gray (not white!) wool skirt suit from Christian Dior’s spring 1955 collection.
The couturier attended the couple’s nuptials, and in 1956, de Havilland wore a more traditional bridal design of Dior’s on-screen in “The Ambassador’s Daughter,” pictured above.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel was inspired by Grace Kelly’s bridal look ahead of her wedding to Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Kerr’s Dior wedding dress had long sleeves, a high neck and a sweeping skirt appliquéd with lilies of the valley, and she paired it with a pearl-encrusted headpiece by famed milliner Stephen Jones.
“A dress that fully covers you creates a sense of purity and mystery,” the Australian supermodel told Vogue at the time. “I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian. But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back.”
Kerr’s gown was displayed as part of the “House of Dior: 70 Years of Haute Couture” exhibition at Australia’s National Gallery of Victoria, as pictured above, shortly after she tied the knot.
Two years after the Golden Globe winner secretly married musician Malcolm McRae in New Orleans, she finally revealed her Dior wedding dress on social media. Designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, her blush tulle gown was adorned with plenty of personal details, including a hummingbird and an Aries symbol for her star sign.
“I wanted our love story to be embroidered on the dress. I didn’t want to wear white, I don’t know why, but there’s so much embroidery. You’ve got a little speed boat, because my dad was a world power boat champion when he was younger. And we’ve got things for my husband’s family, coordinates — the whole story,” Taylor-Joy told WWD in 2024.
Fans got a first glimpse at the dress in September 2023, when Taylor-Joy wore it again for her second, star-studded wedding with McRae in Venice.
Allen and David Harbour tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony officiated by an Elvis impersonator, with the “Smile” singer sporting a double-breasted, bateau-neck Dior dress with a belted waist and black buttons.
The bride topped things off with a double-tiered veil pinned to her updo.
While the Oscar winner and longtime Dior ambassador has never shared photos of her bridal dress, the gown was special enough to score its own hotel room ahead of Lawrence’s wedding to art gallery director Cooke Maroney in Rhode Island.
“The Dior design team flew in directly from Paris the day before J.Law tied the knot, and the gown had a private guest room booked for safekeeping at Newport’s historic Hotel Viking for the evening,” a source told Page Six Style at the time.

As seen in Instagram photos shared by the star’s stylist Mimi Cuttrell, the look featured a sweetheart neckline, fitted bodice and full tulle skirt, and Chopra paired it with 16 carats of Chopard diamonds.
