HBO Shifts ‘Industry’ Season 4 Finale To An Earlier Start Time HBO Renews ‘Industry’ For Fifth And Final Season, Series Creators Say: “We Know When To Leave A Party” Industry Season 4 charts the rise and fall of Tender, an online banking app that promises to revolutionize finance only to be outed as a Russian-backed house of cards. Tender’s implosion claims many casualties on the HBO show, from Labour party leaders like Lisa Dearn (Chloe Pirrie) and Jennifer Bevan (Amy James-Kelly), to Lord Henry Muck (Kit Harington) and his strained marriage to Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela).

However, if we know one thing about Yasmin Kara-Hanani, it’s that she will stop at nothing to survive. Just as her world comes plummeting down around her, she crafts a horrifying exit plan. Yasmin decides to align herself with an emerging far-right cabal that includes the Austrian Nazis we met in Industry Season 4 Episode 3 and rising UK political star Sebastian Stefanowicz (Edward Holcroft).
In Industry Season 4 Episode 8 “Both, And,” Yasmin invites Harper Stern (Myha’la) to a shindig she’s hosting in Paris. However, when Harper gets there, she soon realizes it’s a shadowy meeting of wealthy foreign nationals hoping to use Stefanowicz as their ticket to a far-right reimagining of Europe. Harper is obviously unsettled by this and by Yasmin’s new role procuring women for these wealthy donors.
“She’s made herself a sort of agent of chaos, I guess, to forge an alliance with powerful people,” Marisa Abela told DECIDER. “You know, if you can’t beat them, join them.”
“Or in her case, like if they don’t love you, try and get them to love something that only you can offer them, you know?”
HBO recently announced that Industry would be returning for a fifth and final season. It seems from last night’s episode that a showdown may be brewing between Harper Stern and her growing power in the financial sector and Yasmin with her connection to the rising far-right political movement. It also seems we’ll be seeing more of Sebastian Stefanowicz…
We first met Sebastian Stefanowicz all the way back in the Industry Season 4 premiere. He is the MP for South Thanet (a real life constituency in Kent) and part of the far right-wing Reform UK party. Again, a real life party. Stefanowicz is initially presented as the direct rival to Labor MP Jennifer Bevan, with his pet cause being defending constituents posting the “truth on X.”
Stefanowicz returns in Industry Season 4 Episode 7, where he’s gleefully mocking Labor secretary Lisa Dearn over the Tender scandal. Dearn digs into Stefanowicz, by describing his core supporters as “Andrew Tate clones and Russian bots.”
However, by the time, the Industry Season 4 finale rolls around, he seems to be Yasmin’s new bestie. He mentions having to dip out of their party early for his child’s first communion, but still seems buddy-buddy with Yas (and distracted by Kiernan Shipka’s Hayley). At the party, he is considered the fascist grouping’s great white hope for translating their far-right racist mission to the masses. Interestingly, he tries to tell Harper that he doesn’t agree with everyone in the room, that he can’t police thought, but he still takes their money.
Of course, Harper is extremely — understandably! — unsettled by this. If Harper Stern is scared of someone’s emerging power, then you better believe we ought to be on edge, too.
Sebastian Stefanowicz is played by actor Edward Holcroft. You might recognize him from shows like London Spy, Wolf Hall, The English Game, or Alias Grace. He also co-starred with Industry star Kit Harington in HBO’s Gunpowder.
