FIFA soccer ball encrusted with Austrian crystals could be yours for $10K

A FIFA 2026 soccer ball encrusted with over 20,000 Austrian crystals is on display at Serendipity3 during the World Cup — and one lucky customer can score it for $10,000.

The bedazzled ball is sitting majestically behind glass at the famed eatery’s Times Square location, with an accompanying QR code, that allows interested customers to put in an offer.

“No one has claimed the ball yet, but we’re pushing it out there, hoping we do get a buyer,” Serendipity3’s creative director, Joe Calderone, told The Post.

Ryan Copelin of Philadelphia called the artwork “absolutely stunning,” and said he would purchase it — if he could afford it.

“If I had it? Absolutely,” he quipped to The Post.

It was Calderone’s idea to commission the work, and display it at their second location on West 47th Street in Times Square, which opened in 2024.

“We were looking for a fun way to celebrate the World Cup and the 1.2 million people coming to the city,” he said.

He then called upon Florida artist Susan Flanagan, known for taking everyday objects and turning them into elaborate works of art.

It took Flanagan close to 200 hours to add each of the crystals, which ranged in size from three to 32 millimeters.

Customers at the iconic restaurant, whose flagship location is on the Upper East Side, got a kick out of getting a glimpse of the ball, as Calderone took it for a spin during their busy lunch service.

“Seeing it up close is amazing,” said Jennifer Garland of Bethlehem, Pa.

“I can’t even imagine how someone is talented and patient enough to put that together.”

“I was not anticipating at a restaurant to see a $10,000 ball. But it is absolutely beautiful. You can tell the detail that went into it,” added Copelin.

Because of its hefty price tag, customers are not allowed to handle the artwork — although many have tried.

“The first thing people are asking is, ‘Can I hold the ball? Can I take a picture with it?’ And because of its price and the fact that it is a delicate item, we don’t allow it,” Calderone said.

“But we’ve had tons of people come in, look for the ball, and photograph it.”

Serendipity3, whose celebrity customers include Kim Kardashian, Blake Lively, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Cardi B and Selena Gomez, is known for its over-the-top ice cream sundaes.

To commemorate the World Cup, they are serving the FIFA Fireworks Sundae, a mix of vanilla ice cream with swirls of raspberry-blood orange sorbet and blue raspberry syrup to represent the colors of the flag — and carbonated sugar sprinkled that pops in the mouth to mimic exploding fireworks.
