Add The New York Post on Google Controversial kids YouTuber Ms. Rachel donated $3,500 to a crew of Zohran Mamdani-backed liberal candidates who ousted establishment Democrats in party primaries leaders admitted were fueled by anti-Israel furor.
Ms. Rachel — whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso — made to donations to House candidates Darializa Avila Chevalier and Brad Lander ahead of the June 23 primaries.
Her husband, Broadway and “Songs for Littles” music director Aron Accurso, also donated $1,500 to Chevalier.
Both insurgent, left-wing candidates won, toppling pro-Israel incumbent Reps. Adriano Espaillat and Dan Goldman.
The social media star — a modern-day “Mister Rogers” — has more than 20 million followers on YouTube and 5 million followers on Instagram.
Accurso is a staunch critic of Israel, accusing the Jewish state of “genocide” and deliberately slaughtering thousands of children in Gaza.
Both Chevalier and Lander are also staunch critics of the Jewish state. Chevalier even attended a notorious pro-Palestinian rally in Times Square the day after the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks on Israelis.
Accurso has become increasingly politically active, rallying against the Trump administration placing migrant children in detention camps.
One pro-Israel activist said the social media star’s campaign against Israel is a sign of the times as hatred grows against the Jewish state and antisemitism festers.
“The Jew hatred has become a real issue. It’s a tsunami. It’s malicious, vicious hatred of the Jewish people,” said Dov Hikind, a former Brooklyn state Assembly member and founder of Americans Against Antisemitism.
“The bad guys are winning.”Accurso has posted numerous videos in support of Palestinians in Gaza amid the war with Israel.
“What made you speak about other people’s human rights but not about the kids in Gaza? Do you not think that these kids are not loving … Do you not think they have a heartbeat,” she said in one of her Instagram videos.
“Where have you been? How do you sleep at night?
“You should never have to prove you’re a child. Palestinians are equal to the children of the world,” she added.
The Jewish advocacy group StopAntisemitism accused her of being a “mouthpiece for Hamas” and spreading Hamas propaganda about deaths in Gaza.
She apologized earlier this year after admitting to liking a vile antisemitic Instagram comment calling for America to be “free from the Jews” — claiming it was an innocent mistake and that she thought she had deleted it.
The influencer is an ally of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who appointed Accurso to his inaugural committee.
Accurso also conducted Instagram interviews with Lander and raved about him.
“He’s fighting to stop ICE from separating kids from their parents and putting them in detention centers like Dilley. He will vote against the government paying for the bombs like the ones that destroyed schools, hospitals and killed over 18,000 kids in Gaza,” she said in one video.
“At a time when too many leaders stay silent, he has called for dignity, safety and justice for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. He is a brave voice that acknowledges that’s what happening in Gaza is a genocide.”
