A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/16 inches (2.70 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Vert, issuing from base a dexter forearm Or grasping a wyvern's head erased Gules fimbriated of the second. Attached below and to the sides of the shield a Gold scroll inscribed "DUTY, JUSTICE AND HONOR" in Green letters.

Green and yellow are the colors used for the Military Police Corps. The hand represents the power and strength of the Battalion in uprooting evil, symbolized by the wyvern.

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 31 March 1942. Coat of Arms

Vert, issuing from base a dexter forearm Or grasping a wyvern's head erased Gules fimbriated of the second. On a wreath of the colors Or and Vert, a tower of three merlons of the second, bearing crosswise four arrowheads of the first, all in front of a triangle of the like charged in base with three barrulets Gules. DUTY, JUSTICE AND HONOR.

Green and yellow are the colors used for the Military Police Corps. The hand represents the power and strength of the Battalion in uprooting evil, symbolized by the wyvern. The four arrowheads commemorate the assault landings of the organization in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations during World War II, while the medieval tower is indicative of the unit's service in Europe. The three horizontal red bars from the National Flag of South Vietnam on a triangle alluding to the mountainous terrain of the second and third tactical zones of South Vietnam, refer to service in that country, for which it was awarded six decorations.

The coat of arms was approved on 30 March 1942. It was amended to add a crest on 16 October 1975.
