A metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a silver winged triskelion, one branch up and charged with a vertical black lightning bolt, on a black background (the black lightning bolt edged silver where it crosses the background) the wings resting on a continuous silver scroll with the inscription in black letters "STATIM NOS AGIMUS," the word "NOS" at top between the wings and the words "STATIM AGIMUS" in base.
Ultramarine blue and golden orange are the colors associated with Aviation. The stars and propellers refer to leadership and to air operations. They also allude to the unit's history. The colors red and yellow allude to Vietnam where the unit participated in ten campaigns, represented by the points of the stars. The three propellers represent the three awards of the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. None.
