A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in length overall blazoned as follows: Or, on a pale Azure between a fasces Vert and a key Celeste, wards upward and outward, a lightning bolt of the first, a base embattled Gules masoned of the first charged with a hexagon of the second and bearing another of the first; all within a bordure tierced in pairle Argent, of the third and of the second. Attached below a Green scroll inscribed "FORWARD ALWAYS" in Gold.

The pale implies fortitude. The following elements comprise the Special Troops Battalion: the fasces indicates the military police duties; the key alludes to the unit's determination to secure and provide military intelligence to support the commander's decision making process which is crucial to victory on the battlefield; the lightning bolt denotes signal and the modern communications; the embattled base suggests the engineering capabilities and the hexagon signifies the chemical reconnaissance provided to the Brigade. The white, green, and blue colored border illustrates the unit's ability to deploy in air, over land and sea, to any theater during wartime and in a timely manner.
