A Silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Argent (Silver Gray), on a pale Celeste a dagger of the first, point up, charged on the blade with a heart Gules; on a chief embattled Sable a key double wards up and a lightning flash Silver Gray in saltire. Attached below a Black scroll inscribed "ONE STRIKE, ONE TEAM" in Silver.
The light blue pale denotes military constancy. The dagger represents combat readiness; combined with the heart suggests the loyalty, devotion and fighting spirit of the Second Brigade's service members. Black recognizes the brigade's strength and determination to achieve any specified task. The embattled chief suggests the brigade's engineer support, with the addition of the key symbolizes military intelligence and the lightning flash signifies signal; these refer to the elements used to form the Second Brigade.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 1 December 2005. It was amended to change the motto on 1 June 2006. Coat of Arms
