A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall blazoned as follows: Vert, between a pale Sable edged and surmounted by another bretessed Or, a double-ward key, wards downward and a lightning bolt palewise of the last, a point pointed Gules masoned of the third. Attached below the device a Black scroll inscribed "OPTIMUS SUSCIPIO" in Gold.

The pales emulate a tank track; the colors green and yellow, traditionally associated with Armor, indicate the Special Troops Battalion's affiliation. The following images illustrate the branches encompassed within the Special Troops Battalion - the double ward key suggests the security and the Military Intelligence function, the lightning bolt refers to the Signal capabilities, and the red masoned base signifies the Engineer responsibilities. The motto translates to "Support The Best."

From a wreath Or and Vert, in front of a triangular gad Argent (Silver Gray), two mortar shells erect surmounted by another, all Sable, the last shell charged with five barrulets arched downward, all above a stylized arrow Or. OPTIMUS SUSCIPIO (Support The Best).
