A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned as follows: Quarterly Gules and Azure, a lightning bolt bendwise throughout Or between in second quarter a tower of the last and in third quarter a mullet Vert. Attached below a Black scroll inscribed "SIMUL MILITAMUS" in Gold.

Blue and red represent the Battalion's assignment to provide combat support to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division. The lightning bolt symbolizes the unit's signal capabilities and immediate response furnished by the Chemical platoon. It also emphasizes the seeking, gathering and dissemination of information relative to the areas of weather, terrain and the enemy which is inherent to the mission of Military Intelligence. The tower denotes the combat Engineer functions provided to the Brigade Combat Team. The gold star suggests the state of Texas, where the unit was activated; the green star signifies Military Police organization within the Battalion. The motto translates to "We Fight As One."

From a wreath Or and Gules, in front of two tank mortar shells erect Sable edged of the first, the warheads and garnished of the first, a cogwheel of the last. SIMUL MILITAMUS (We Fight As One).
