Moro Rebellion
Fourteen years of fighting between American forces and the Muslim Moro people of the southern Philippines, running on long after the Philippine-American War had ended elsewhere.
How It Began
The Moro sultanates of Mindanao and the Sulu archipelago had never been governed by Spain and did not accept American rule when Spain ceded the islands in 1898. Fighting began in 1899 and did not end until Bud Bagsak in 1913.
