Honor Guard Tab for Selected Units

The Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel (DCSPER) approved a tab for wear by selected Honor Guards on 16 March 1965. Proposed designs were submitted on 26 March 1965. The DCSPER approved the above design on 19 April 1965. A subdued tab is also authorized. (TIOH Dwg. No. A-1-400)

On a white arc tab 3 7/8 inches (9.84 cm) in length and 11/16 inch (1.75 cm) in height overall, the designation "HONOR GUARD" in ultramarine blue letters 5/16 inch (.79 cm) in height. The subdued tab is identical, except the background is olive drab and the letters are in black.
