Its blazon
On a gold and enamel metal device consisting of a dark blue disc bearing a gold five-pointed diminished star surmounted by a gold eagle, wings displayed and inverted, charged on its breast with a shield blazoned; Or, five pales Argent and Gules; a chief Azure. The eagle is perched upon a horizontal gold key, ward pointing down; all encircled by a white designation band inscribed NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY' above and below CENTRAL SECURITY SERVICE' between two stars, all gold. Overall dimension is 2 inches (5.08cm) in diameter.
