What Happened
Trooper William Curley succumbed to injuries sustained one week earlier in a motorcycle crash while on patrol.

He was struck by a motorist that had been driving erratically and pulled onto the wrong side of the Troy-Hoosick Road at Potter Hill, striking Trooper Curley head-on.

Trooper Curley was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWI and had served with the New York State Police for four years.
