What Happened
Detective Sergeant Paul Jones was killed in an accident when his police vehicle struck a tree while on the Washington-Baltimore Boulevard at College Heights, Maryland. He was en route to the reform school in Jessup, Maryland, to question a prisoner. Sergeant Jones was a U.S. Army veteran of WWI. He had served with the Metropolitan Police Department for 25 years and assigned to the Robbery Squad. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
