General Maxwell D Taylor served the 101st Airborne Division for 37 years. Maxwell served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the Cold War. Maxwell was 85 years old.
What Happened
West Point 1922. He jumped into Normandy with the 101st Airborne as its commander and led it through Market Garden and the siege of Bastogne. Superintendent at West Point, Chief of Staff of the Army, fifth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and ambassador to South Vietnam.
