What Happened
Coast Guardsman Leo Krzyzanowski (Coxswain) and seven other guardsmen drowned when their boat, CG-238, sank.

On April 3, 1927, Guardsman Krzyzanowski's body was recovered from the water off the coast of Provincetown.

Guardsman Krzyzanowski was a WWI veteran of the U.S. Navy. He had served with the U.S. Coast Guard for only 5 months.
