What Happened
Sergeant John Crowley died from asphyxiation when he was exposed to carbon monoxide while sitting in an idling patrol car on Palisade and Grande Avenues. Prior to being found in his vehicle, Sergeant Crowley had assisted at a house fire. Sergeant Crowley was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Englewood Police Department for 12 years.
Survivors
He was survived by his two children.
