What Happened
Operative James Hair was shot and killed by a man who had been harassing him at a shooting gallery. The suspect was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life. Operative Hair had been with the agency for two years and had previously served with the United States Army during World War I. He was survived by his wife and two children. He is buried in Fairmont Mausoleum, Denver, Colorado.
