James Morgan

Lt. Morgan was well-known and considered a good man, one of his sons finds comfort in the memories of the retired Louisville officers that remember him. Nick was 11 at the time of his father’s death and has tried to honor him through his own public service in the Air Force and with the Fire Department. The father of seven children, Lieutenant Morgan loved his family but fought an internal battle that he was unable to defeat. A motorcycle lover, he and his wife Mom were members of the Louisville motorcycle club and traveled to Daytona Beach on many occasions. His children remember the man he was before he lost his battle and cherish the time they had. His son has chosen to honor him because, “I just want him to never be forgotten, and his service to our Country and the City of Louisville KY to be honored. I wish there was something like this (Blue Help) back then, but I’m glad it is there today for those who are still suffering these tragic losses.”
