What Happened
Trooper Harry Locke was fatally injured in a vehicle crash around 5:10 a.m. Trooper Locke and a Clarendon police officer were traveling on U.S. 79 when he lost control of his patrol car about 17 miles east of Clarendon. The other officer was transferred to a Stuttgart hospital. Trooper Locke was a United States Army Korean War veteran and had served with the Arkansas State Police for six years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife and three children.
