Petty Officer First Class Glen Anthony Doherty served the SEAL Team 3 for 8 years. Glen served in the Iraq, the Afghanistan and the Global War on Terrorism. Glen was 42 years old.

Biography

A Navy SEAL from 1995 to 2004, rated Special Warfare Operator and retiring as a petty officer first class. He served with SEAL Team 3, SEAL Team 7 and the logistics support unit of Naval Special Warfare Group 1, in Iraq and in Afghanistan, and was decorated twice for valour.

Afterwards he worked as a contract protective officer for the Central Intelligence Agency's Global Response Staff.

He was in Tripoli on the night of the eleventh and was not ordered to Benghazi. He got himself onto a chartered aircraft, reached the annex before dawn, and went up to the roof where Tyrone Woods had been firing since the attack began. They had served together. Both were killed by the same mortar round minutes later.
