What Happened
Officer David Ronk was shot and killed while attempting to serve a temporary protective order at a home at 87-636 Farrington Highway. He located the man hiding inside of a closet in the home. A struggle ensued during which the man was gained control of Officer Ronk's service weapon and fatally shot him. The 19-year-old man was apprehended and sentenced to life without parole.
