What Happened
Sergeant David Distrola was killed when he fell from an overpass as he attempted to avoid being struck by another car. He was investigating an accident on the Route 219 bypass when another vehicle lost control on the icy road and started to slide toward him. He fell over the edge of the overpass as he attempted to get out of the way. Sergeant Distrola had served with the Bradford City Police Department for 12 years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife and three children.
