What Happened
Lost with the crew of Zeus 95 when their KC-135 Stratotanker went down over friendly airspace in western Iraq on 12 March 2026, during Operation EPIC FURY. A second tanker was involved in the incident and landed safely. Central Command states the loss was not the result of hostile or friendly fire.
Biography
Ashley Brooke Pruitt was a native of Bardstown, Kentucky, and entered the Air Force in 2017. She deployed overseas three times and served as assistant flight chief of operations for the 99th Air Refueling Squadron, an instructor on the refuelling boom of the KC-135, with nearly 900 flight hours. Her community remembered her as a selfless servant and a radiant mother.
