Samal Amnon Yafe served in the Israel Defense Forces. Amnon served with the Armored Corps. Amnon was 19 years old.
בן אפרים וחנה. נולד ביום כ"ד באלול תש"ז (8.9.1947) בחולון. אחרי שסיים שם את לימודיו בבית הספר היסודי על שם משה הס למד בבית הספר התיכון החקלאי במקוה ישראל. גויס לצה"ל במאי 1965 והיה לחובש קרבי. מלחמת ששת הימים פרצה כשהוא עוד בשירותו הסדיר, וביום השלישי לקרבותיה, הוא כ"ח באייר תשכ"ז (7.6.1967), בעת שעסק אמנון בחילוץ פצוע, נפגע על ידי צרור האויב ונפל במקום. זה היה בשעת הקרב על כיבושה של אל-עריש וטיהורה מכוחות האויב שם. הובא לקבורה בבית הקברות הצבאי לשעת חירום בבארי ולאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בקרית שאול.
