Rav Samal Bakhir Fredi Levi served with the Israel Police. Fredi served in the First Intifada and the South Lebanon Security Zone.
בן רימה וציון. פריד (פרדי) נולד בשנת תש"ט (1949) בעיראק. בהיותו בן שלוש עלה עם משפחתו לארץ, הם התיישבו בשכונת קטמון בירושלים. פרדי גדל והתחנך בירושלים, סיים את לימודיו באורט חניכים. בשנת 1967 התגייס לצה"ל. במסגרת החובה שירת פרדי במשמר הגבול, ולאחר מכן חתם קבע. עם סיום שירות הקבע התגייס למשטרת ישראל, ומאז שירת עשרים שנה בנאמנות רבה. בשנת 1978 נשא פרדי לאישה את רותי. בשנת 1987 הם עברו לגור במעלה אדומים, שם גידלו חמישה ילדים: אופיר, לילך, אלירן, ליאור ואביעד. תקופה קצרה לאחר המעבר למעלה אדומים חלה פרדי במחלה קשה. הוא נפטר שנתיים אחר כך, ביום י"א בתשרי תש"נ (10.10.1989). בן ארבעים בנפלו. רב-סמל בכיר פרדי נטמן בחלקה הצבאית בבית העלמין בהר הרצל, ירושלים. הותיר אישה וחמישה ילדים, הורים, אחים ואחיות. שמו של פרדי הונצח באנדרטה לזכר הנופלים במערכות ישראל במעלה אדומים.
