Turai Ezra Gabai served in the Israel Defense Forces. Ezra served with the Infantry. Ezra served in the War of Attrition.
בן סלמן ורוזה. נולד בשנת תרצ"ו (1936) בבגדד, בירת עירק. שם סיים את לימודיו בבית ספר יסודי ובשנת 1951 עלה לארץ והיה בקיבוץ גבעת חיים. עבד במפעלי הנייר בחדרה והיה מסור לעבודתו. במאי 1954 גויס לצה"ל גמר את שירותו הסדיר אך שוחרר מן הצבא רק אחרי מערכת סיני, בשנת 1956. אז הקים את ביתו. מפעם לפעם היה נקרא לשירות מילואים. אף במלחמת ששת הימים השתתף. ביום כ"ט בטבת תשכ"ח (30.1.1968), בשעת מילוי תפקידו, נפטר באופן פתאומי. הניח אשה וארבעה ילדים. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות בחדרה.
