בן יעקב ואסתר. נולד בשנת תש"ב (1943) בבגדד, בירת עירק. בשנת 1951 עלו הוריו לארץ. סיים את לימודיו בבית הספר "גולומב" בכפר שלם ולאחר מכן למד בבית הספר התיכון החקלאי בכפר סילבר. נטה למשוך בעט והעלה כמה מיצירותיו בכתב. גויס לצה"ל בנובמבר 1962 וגמר את שירותו הסדיר מאחר ולא היה מעונין בדרגה צבאית גבוהה ואף לא בקורס קצינים. אחרי שחרורו היה נקרא מדי פעם לשירות מילואים ובמסגרת זו נמצא במלחמת ששת הימים. איש צוות תותח היה וכתוצאה מפגיעת פגז אויר במצבור תחמושת, שהיה ליד התותח, נפל; זה היה בקרב שנערך באיזור אוםכתף אשר בסיני ביום הראשון לקרבות, הוא כ"ו באייר תשכ"ז (5.6.1967). הובא לקבורה בבית הקברות הצבאי לשעת חירום בבארי וכעבור זמן הועבר למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בקרית שאול. ב"גוילי אש", כרך ד', ילקוט עזבונם של הבנים שנפלו במערכות ישראל, הובא מעזבונו.
