Turai Gerry-Ellen Meirs served in the Israel Defense Forces. Gerry-Ellen served with the Nahal Brigade. Gerry-Ellen was 20 years old.
בן איזבל וברנרד, נולד ביום י"ט בתשרי תשכ"ב (29.10.1961) ברודזיה. בעיר הולדתו סיים גרי בית-ספר יסודי ואף למד בבית-ספר תיכון. המשפחה עלתה ארצה בשנת תשל"ח וגרי סיים את חוק לימודיו בחוות הנוער בירושלים. בתקופת לימודיו הצטרף לגרעין נח"ל "שלעד", שהיה אמור לתגבר את קיבוץ גשר-הזיו. גרי גויס לצה"ל במחצית ינואר 1980 והוצב עם חבריו לגרעין בנח"מ ובנח"ל. לאחר הטירונות שירת כחצי שנה במסגרת הגדוד, בביטחון שוטף בצפון הארץ, ואחרי כן הועבר להיאחזות הנח"ל "הושעיה". גרי היה דמות מרכזית בגרעין "שלעד" ומפקדיו וחבריו ציינו אותו כחייל מצטיין וכחבר למופת. ביום כ"א בכסלו תשמ"ב (16.12.1981) נפל גרי בעת מילוי תפקידו והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי ברעננה. השאיר הורים ואח.
