Turai Israel Lapidot served in the Israel Defense Forces. Israel served with the Armored Corps. Israel served in the War of Independence. Israel was 17 years old.
בן יונה ומאיר, נולד ביום י"ז בסיוון תר"ץ (13.6.1930) בתל-אביב. הוא סיים את בית-הספר היסודי "נס ציונה" בתל-אביב, עבר לבן שמן ולמד שם במשך שנתיים. לאחר-מכן התמחה במלאכת החרטות. עם ראשית מלחמת-העצמאות התנדב לצבא ושירת בחטיבת "גבעתי". נלחם בדרום, השתתף בליווי שיירות לירושלים ובכיבוש הקסטל. התבלט במסירותו ובנכונותו לכל משימה. ישראל קיפח את חייו בתאונת-דרכים בין רחובות לתל-אביב ביום י"ד בניסן תש"ח (23.4.1948). נקבר בגדרה. ביום ז' בתמוז תש"י (22.6.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
