Turai Rishon Itzhak Hofman served in the Israel Defense Forces. Itzhak served with the Logistics Corps. Itzhak was 20 years old.
בן צילה ואברהם, נולד ביום כ"ה בסיוון תשי"ט (1.7.1959) בפולין. הוא התחיל ללמוד בבית-ספר יסודי בארץ הולדתו. בשנת 1970 עלה עם הוריו לארץ והמשפחה השתקעה בחיפה. יצחק המשיך את לימודיו בבית-ספר יסודי ובחטיבת-הביניים, ואחרי כן סיים בית-ספר תיכון-מקצועי - "נעורים" - בכפר-סירקין. בפברואר 1978 התגייס לצה"ל, עבר אימוני טירונות כלליים והוצב בחיל-האחזקה. סמוך לגיוסו נפטרה אמו. אחרי כן נפגע אביו בתאונת דרכים, ולפי בקשתו הועבר לשרת בבסיס מזון באזור חיפה, כדי להיות קרוב לאביו. ביום י"ג בשבט תש"ם (31.1.1980) נפל בעת שירותו. בן 21 היה במותו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית-הקברות הצבאי בחיפה. השאיר אחריו אב, אח ואחות. מפקד יחידתו כתב עליו במכתב תנחומים למשפחתו: "יצחק שירת ביחידתנו כשנה וחצי וביצע את תפקידו בחריצות, בצניעות, בשקט ובענווה".
