Turai Daniel Gozelker served in the Israel Defense Forces. Daniel served with the Engineering corps. Daniel served in the Six-Day War. Daniel was 31 years old.

What Happened

בן מיכאל ושמחה. נולד ביום כ' בסיון תרצ"ה (21.6.1935) בעיר בומביי אשר בהודו. אחרי שלמד בהודו בבית ספר תיכון וגם עבר קורס למכונאות עלתה המשפחה לארץ בשנת 1954. בבואו לארץ התחיל ללמוד מסגרות וטפסנות. עבד כטפסן בחברת "סולל-בונה". חבר טוב היה והיה מושיט יד עזרה לכל נצרך. גויס לצה"ל בדצמבר 1955 ושירת בחיל השריון ובחיל ההנדסה הקרבית בהיותו בצבא הסדיר. השתתף במערכת סיני ולאחר מכן נתן את שירותו במילואים. אף למלחמת ששת הימים גויס ונפל בקרב ליד עין זיתים אשר בגליל ביום הראשון לקרבות, הוא כ"ו באייר תשכ"ז (5.6.1967). הניח אשה ושני ילדים. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בחיפה. זכרו הועלה ב"יסודות" בטאון הסתדרות פועלי הבניין.
