ביום 9.5.2024 התגייס לצה"ל ושירת בחטיבת כפיר.
רב טוראי אוריאל פרץ נפל בקרב ביום כ"ט בכסלו תשפ"ה (30.12.2024). בן עשרים וארבע בנופלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית העלמין הצבאי בהר הרצל. הותיר אחריו הורים ושלושה אחים.
לאחר נפילתו הועלה לדרגת סמל.
