Turai Haim Grusberg served in the Israel Defense Forces. Haim served with the Infantry. Haim served in the War of Independence. Haim was 27 years old.
בן יהודית ומשה, נולד ביום ט"ו במנחם-אב תר"ף (30.7.1920) בירושלים למשפחה ירושלמית מושרשת בארץ. הוא למד בתלמוד- תורה ואחר-כך בבית-הספר תלמוד-תורה של "המזרחי". אחר-כך עזר לאביו בעבודתו בחנות. כמעט לא יצא מגבולות ירושלים שאהב אותה אהבה עזה. חיים-לוי היה חבר ה"הגנה" משנת 1946 והשתייך לחי"ם. עם החרפת המצב והמצור על עיר הקודש היה בין היוצאים למשמרות בגבולותיה ומחודש דצמבר 1947 שמר בשייח'- ג'ראח. בליל ט"ז בניסן תש"ח (25.4.1948), לאחר התקפת הפלמ"ח לכיבוש שייח'-ג'ראח שנכשלה בגלל התקפת-נגד קשה של האויב, התנדב להגיש עזרה לחבר פצוע, ובזוחלו אליו תחת מטר יריות נפגע מכדור ונהרג בו במקום. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות בסנהדריה בירושלים. השאיר אחריו אישה ושתי בנות רכות.
