Rav Turai Avraham Lebovitch served in the Israel Defense Forces. Avraham served with the Golani Brigade. Avraham was 20 years old.
בנם של מלוין וסטפן. נולד ביום ה' באייר תרצ"ג (1.5.1933) ברומניה. אח של אווה, נטשה (נטע) ומריה (מרים). אביו של אברהם נהרג בתאונת רכבות טרם לידתו, ואמו נישאה בשנית לסטפן שגידל אותו. בשנת 1946 בגיל שלוש עשרה עלה אברהם לארץ ישראל לבדו. סיים את לימודיו התיכוניים בבית הספר התיכון בכפר-גלעדי. בשנת 1950 המשפחה עלתה ארצה וגרה במחנה העולים שער עליה. אחותו נטשה סיפרה שזכרה איך אברהם ביקר אותם בחופשות והביא עמו מזון "קיבוצי" (עופות, פירות וירקות). בהמשך המשפחה עברה למעברת הר - טוב לימים הישוב בית שמש, שם עבד כפועל בבית החרושת "שמשון". במארס 1952 הוא גויס לצה"ל ושירת בחיל הרגלים והשריון. אברהם לבוביץ נפל בעת מילוי תפקידו ביום י"ג באב תשי"ג (25.7.1953). בן עשרים בנופלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית-הקברות הצבאי בהר-הרצל בירושלים. הותיר אחריו הורים ושלוש אחיות.
