What Happened

בן חיה ואברהם, נולד ביום כ"ה בניסן תרפ"ח (15.4.1928) בירושלים. סיים בית-ספר עממי ואחר-כך עבד כחשמלאי רכב. בן 16 רצה להתגייס לבריגדה היהודית בצבא הבריטי אך לא נתקבל משום גילו הצעיר. בהיותו בן 19 נשא אישה והתכונן לבסס את מעמדו בחיים האזרחיים, אולם משהחלה מלחמת-העצמאות בעקבות החלטת עצרת האו"ם על חלוקת הארץ, התגייס לאצ"ל כחודשיים לאחר חתונתו. הוא השתתף בהגנת תל-אביב, בנקמה בערבים ששרפו את בית הוריו בשכונת התקווה, בקרב לכיבוש יפו, ועוד. באביב תש"ח שירת אחיו עימו בפלוגה אחת (אחרי שהאח שוחרר משירות בגלל מחלה, התנדב לאצ"ל ונתקבל), והואיל ושני אחים לא נשלחו לקרב אחד, היו השניים רבים ביניהם מי ייצא לקרב ומי יישאר בעורף. יצחק היה דורש מאחיו להישאר בעורף בגלל מחלתו ואילו אחיו דרש מיצחק שיישאר בבית כיוון שהוא כבר אב לתינוקת. אך יצחק לא רצה להשתמט בזכות התינוקת, ובקרב על הגנת יהודיה נפל, ביום ג' בסיוון תש"ח (10.6.1948), והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנחלת יצחק.
