Shlomo "Shlomole" Frenkel
Rav Turai Shlomo Frenkel served in the Israel Defense Forces. Shlomo served with the Armored Corps. Shlomo was 23 years old.
בן צבי ופנינה. נולד ביום ז' באדר א' תרצ"ב (15.2.1932) בהונגריה. עלה לארץ בשנת 1946. אחרי עלותו למד במוסד-עליה והשתלם בעיקר בענף של שתילת-פרחים ועצי-נוי. לאחר-מכן המשיך את לימודיו בבית-הספר החקלאי "מקוה-ישראל". הוא עמד להשתלם בפקולטה לחקלאות של האוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים. השתייך ל"בני-עקיבא". גויס לצה"ל במאי 1950. לאחר שהשתחרר משירותו בצבא עבד כמדריך וכמרכז במוסד החינוכי של "הנוער העובד" הדתי בכפר-פינס. ביום י"ח באלול תשט"ו (5.9.1955) נפל בקרב בסביבות ניר-יצחק והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בקרית-שאול.
