Rav Samal Adi Briga served in the Israel Defense Forces. Adi served with the Armored Corps. Adi served in Operation Protective Edge. Adi was 23 years old.
בן פנינה ודוד. עדי נולד ביום א' בניסן תשנ"א (16.3.1991) במזכרת בתיה. ילד שני להוריו, אח של מיכל ורפאל. עדי סיים שירות חובה מלא בצה"ל ושב לבית המשפחה במושב בית שקמה, הסמוך לאשקלון. בחודש יוני 2014 התגבר ירי רקטות מרצועת עזה לישראל, ובעקבות כך יצאה ישראל למבצע "צוק איתן" נגד החמאס באזור עזה. המבצע החל ב-8.7.2014 בהפצצות מהאוויר, וכעבור תשעה ימים החלה כניסה קרקעית של יחידות צבא לרצועת עזה לטפל במוקדי הירי ובמנהרות הטרור, משימות שבוצעו עד תום המבצע בסוף חודש אוגוסט. עדי נפל בקרב במבצע "צוק איתן" ביום א' באב תשע"ד (28.7.2014), שלושה שבועות אחרי שגויס למילואים בצו שמונה וצורף לחטיבת שריון שבע שהשתתפה בלחימה. איתו נפלו סמל ראשון אליאב אליהו חיים כחלון, רב-טוראי מימון מידן ביטון ורב-טוראי נירן כהן. עדי היה בן עשרים ושלוש בנפלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית העלמין הצבאי באשקלון. הותיר הורים, אחות ואח. אחרי נפילתו הועלה עדי לדרגת רב-סמל.
