Turai Rishon Yigal Shirion served in the Israel Defense Forces. Yigal served with the Artillery Corps. Yigal served in the War of Attrition. Yigal was 20 years old.
בן יחיאל ויונה. נולד ביום י"ח בסיון תש"ח (25.6.1948) בתל- אביב. כאשר הגיע לגיל-הלימודים למד בבית-הספר היסודי "ירדן". בשעות-הפנאי היה אוהב לעסוק בעבודות אמנותיות שונות ומגוונות, בקרמיקה ובפסיפס; כן עשה עבודות ריתוך של פסלונים וכל מיני צורות של כדים ותמונות. לצה"ל גויס במאי 1966 והוצב לחיל- התותחנים. חבר טוב ומסור היה לאחיו-לנשק ולא שאף להתבלט. על עצמו חשב לאחרונה ותמיד הביא בחשבון את טובת הזולת תחילה. טוב-לב היה ופניו תמיד הביעו בת-שחוק. מסור היה לאמו וכשהיה בא לכמה שעות של חופשה היה "קופץ" ראשית כל לחנותה ושואל לשלומה ובמה יכול הוא לעזור לה. אך עוד הוא בשירות- חובה בא היום המר והנמהר, הוא ט' בניסן (28.3.1969), ובכביש צמח-בית-שאן ליד קיבוץ גשר מצא את מותו בשעת מילוי תפקידו. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בקרית שאול.
