Rav Turai Eliyahu Maman served in the Israel Defense Forces. Eliyahu served with the Paratroopers Brigade. Eliyahu served in the Six-Day War. Eliyahu was 19 years old.
בן מרדכי וז'ולי. נולד ביום י' באלול תש"ז (26.8.1947) בעיר קזבלנקה אשר במרוקו. עלה לארץ עם משפחתו בשנת 1949 בהיותו כבן שנתיים. סיים את לימודיו בבית-הספר היסודי "יבנה" אשר בנתניה. לאחר זאת למד את מלאכת חיתוך היהלומים ועסק במקצוע זה. היה חבר בתנועת "הנוער העובד" ומאהבתו לספורט השתתף באימוני-איגרוף ב"הפועל". בשעות הפנאי אסף בולים, עסק בספורט, עשה עבודות פיתוחים בנחושת ובעץ-זית ואף היה יוצא לטיולים. לצה"ל גויס במאי 1965 ובאמצע שירות-החובה שלו פרצה מלחמת ששת הימים ואליהו נפל בקרבות בביר גפגפה שבסיני ביום הראשון לקרבותיה, הוא כ"ו באייר תשכ"ז (5.6.1967). הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי לשעת- חירום בבארי ולאחר זמן הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בנתניה. בספר " על במותיך חלל" בהוצאת חברים לנשק הובאו תולדותיו. רשימה עליו פורסמה בחוברת שהוציאה עיריית נתניה לזכר בניה שנפלו על משמרתם.
