Turai Latif Tzafani served in the Israel Defense Forces. Latif served with the Infantry. Latif served in the Sinai Campaign.
בן עזרא ורוזה. נולד בשנת רצ"ד (1934) בעיר בומביי אשר בהודו. למד שם בבית-ספר יסודי. בשנת 1941 באה המשפחה לעירק; שם היה המצב חמור ומאין יכולת להכניסו לבית-ספר היה נאלץ לעבוד בבית-חרושת אשר בו היה האחראי לכל העבודה. עלה לארץ בשנת 1951. עסק ביציקת בלוקים. גויס לצה"ל במארס 1954 וביום כ"ז במרחשון תשי"ז (1.11.1956) נפל במערכת-סיני בקרב רפיח. הובא לקבורה בבית-הקברות הצבאי לשעת-חירום בבארי וביום כ"ח בתשרי תשי"ח (23.10.1957) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים. הניח אשה וחמישה ילדים; בתו היתה בת ארבעים יום בנפלו.
