בן פולין ויוסף, נולד בשנת 1922 בעיר חלב, סוריה. הוא למד בבית-ספר יסודי והקדים להכיר כי אין לו עתיד בגולה ושאף לעלות לארץ-ישראל. בשנת 1938, בהיותו בן 16, הצליח לעבור את הגבול, הגיע לחיפה והתחיל לעבוד בבניין. בימי מלחמת-העולם השנייה התגייס לצבא הבריטי, ושירת בצי המלכותי בזירות מלחמה שונות. עם השחרור חזר לעבוד בבניין. בינתיים הגיעו גם הוריו לארץ. בשנת 1946 נשא אישה, החל לעבוד בחברת-החשמל בחיפה וחי חיים שקטים ומאושרים בחיק המשפחה. כחייל ותיק, היה חבר ה"הגנה" ופעל בה, בייחוד מאז החריף המצב בעיר-הנמל לפני שחרורה. ביום ח' באדר ב' תש"ח (19.3.1948) נורה על-ידי צלף ערבי ברחוב חסן שוקרי, בשעה שהגיש עזרה לחבר פצוע ונפל בו במקום. הובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי בחיפה. הניח אחריו אישה ותינוקת בת שבועות מספר.
