Turai Avraham Vingord served in the Israel Defense Forces. Avraham served with the Infantry. Avraham served in the War of Independence. Avraham was 19 years old.
בן שרה וזאב, נולד ביום א' בניסן תרפ"ט (11.4.1929) בעיר זאלין, פולין, הגיע לארץ בשנת 1935 וסיים את לימודיו בבית-ספר תיכון. כאיש פלמ"ח עבר אימונים צבאיים ושימש כמדריך. היה התומך היחידי בהוריו, שהתגוררו בירושלים. במלחמת-העצמאות עבד תחילה בתעשיית נשק (הכנת פצצות למטוסים). אחר-כך נלקח לחזית ירושלים ושם נפל בשעת התקפה בשייח'-ג'ראח ביום י"ג באייר תש"ח (21.5.1948). נקבר בשייח'- באדר א'. ביום כ"ח באלול תש"י (10.9.1950) הועבר למנוחת-עולמים בבית- הקברות שעל הר הרצל בירושלים.
