בן שולמית ויחיאל, נולד ביום ד' באייר תשכ"ה (6.5.1965) בראשון לציון. נתן היה בן למשפחה מסורתית, מושרשת בעיר מגוריו. הוא השלים שמונה שנות לימוד בבית-ספר יסודי ובחטיבת-הביניים, ולאחר מכן למד שנתיים בבית-ספר מקצועי במגמת מכונאות רכב. במאי 1983 התגייס לצה"ל, ושירת בחיל-הקשר. הוא עבר אימוני טירונות והשתלמות מקצועית, ובפברואר 1984 יצא עם יחידתו לשרת בלבנון. ביום כ' באדר א' תשמ"ד (23.2.1984), בעת ששיירה צבאית שבה נסע עברה מצפון למרג'-עיון, נפתחה עליה אש ממארב מחבלים. נתן נפגע ונהרג. בן 19 שנים הוא היה בנופלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית-הקברות הצבאי בראשון לציון. נתן השאיר אחריו הורים וארבע אחיות. שר הביטחון משה ארנס כתב עליו במכתב תנחומים למשפחתו: "טוראי נתן שרפי נתן את חייו למען מולדתו. נתן שירת בחיל-הקשר. הוא היה חייל אמיץ וחבר מסור. נתן היה אהוב על כל מי שהכירו". על-שמו הוכנס ספר-תורה לבית-הכנסת בשיכון המזרח בראשון לציון.
