בן מיסה וסאמוס. נולד ביום ח' בכסלו תש"ז (1.12.1946) בלוב ועלה עם משפחתו לארץ בשנת 1949. רחמים גויס לצה"ל בסוף מרס 1965 ואחרי ששוחרר משירות החובה היה נקרא לפרקים לתקופות שירות במילואים. בראשית מרס 1970 קיבל צו קריאה לשירות מילואים פעיל וכעבור אחד-עשר יום, ביום א' באדר ב' תש"ל (9.3.1970), נפטר. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בנתניה.
