Turai Menashe Ruso served in the Israel Defense Forces. Menashe served with the Armored Corps. Menashe was 25 years old.
בן נסים ופלורה. נולד ביום כ"ט באדר תרפ"ו (15.3.1926) באיזמיר של תורכיה. למד בבית-ספר תיכון שם אך לא סיים את לימודיו בו. היה חבר בתנועה חלוצית שמטרתה היתה להעלות נוער לארץ. תמיד נשא את נפשו לארץ-הקודש. הוא גם עשה כמה מאמצים לקבל ויזה לעלות ומשלא הצליח התנדב לצבא התורכי, אבל לא מצא מנוחה בנפשו בגלל כיסופיו לארץ. אחרי שמונה-עשר חדשי-שירות ברח מן המחנה והתחבא בתוך חדרו במשך חדשיים. לבסוף הצליח לצאת את תורכיה באניית-משא קטנה בלתי-ידועה וכך הגיע לארץ באוגוסט 1949. גויס לצה"ל באוקטובר 1950. בשעת מילוי תפקידו, ביום י"ז בניסן תשי"א (23.4.1951), נפל והובא למנוחת-עולמים בבית-הקברות הצבאי שעל הר-הרצל בירושלים.
