Rav Turai Zeev Shwartz served in the Israel Defense Forces. Zeev served with the C4i Corps. Zeev served in the War of Attrition. Zeev was 21 years old.
בנם יחידם של עקיבא ויוכבד. נולד ביום ט"ז במרחשון תש"ח (30.10.1947) בבוטושני שברומניה ועלה ארצה עם משפחתו בשנת 1959. למד בבית הספר היסודי "פיק"א" בפתח תקוה. אחרי כן החליט ללמוד שרטוט בניין כדי שיוכל להתפרנס ממקצועו. בבקרים היה עובד בבית החולים "בילינסון" ובערבים עסק בלימודים. מטבעו היה נער שקט, יושב בית, מסור ועוזר להוריו. הוא התחיל לעבוד בחברה קבלנית לבניין והצליח מאוד. תכונותיו היפות, חריצותו ומסירותו לעבודה היו לשם ולתהילה בפי כל יודעיו. הוא התגייס לצה"ל במאי 1966 ובכל זאת המשיך ללמוד - הפעם בבית הספר לרדיו ולאלקטרוניקה "יעד", מתוך רצונו להשלים את הבחינות המוקדמות כדי ללכת לבחינות הבגרות. הוא התכונן להמשיך אחרי כן בלימודיו בבית ספר גבוה יותר - אולי בטכניון. אבל כל חלומותיו עלו בתוהו. ביום ה' באייר תשכ"ט (23.4.1969), נפטר. הובא למנוחת עולמים בבית הקברות הצבאי בקרית שאול.
